Emory University this Thursday, May 5th in Atlanta, GA at the Starwood
Hotels & Resorts Annual Meeting.* They will be addressing questions
regarding Starwood's operations in Tibet at the shareholder's meeting and
leafleting outside the building. Please join us to raise the issue that
Occupation is no Holiday.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is managing the St. Regis Resort, a
luxury hotel, in partnership with Shanghai Yungao Real Estate Development Co
in Lhasa, Tibet. In October 2010, SFT wrote to Frits van Paasschen, CEO and
President of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, expressing our grave
concerns that the operation of the St. Regis could exacerbate the abuses
that Tibetans face under Chinese occupation unless it was specifically
conducted in compliance with their needs and interests. We did not get a
response and we are writing to him again as a follow up.
