First time? Don't worry! Being a part of Lobby Day is a great way to gain
valuable experience lobbying for Tibet. All you have to do is be yourself
and explain to your Congressional Representatives why Tibet matters to you.
We'll also be holding a 2-day training session on Saturday, February 26th
and Sunday, February 27th in Washington, D.C.
February 26th: Workshops and SFT town hall discussion
February 27th: Workshop trainings in preparation for Tibet Lobby Day
More information about the trainings will be available in the next few
weeks. Please continue to check SFT's website.
If you participated in Lobby Day last year, we hope you'll join us again and
continue to build critical relationships with your Congressional
Representatives and their staff.
It is crucial that we make our presence known in the nation's capital this
year, especially following Chinese President Hu Jintao's state visit to
Washington, D.C. last week. Lobby Day is a great opportunity to remind the
U.S. Congress of its longstanding support for Tibet and to communicate to
our elected leaders that Tibet must be a priority issue in America's foreign
policy agenda with China.
Together we can hold President Obama accountable to his remarks that China
should meaningfully negotiate with the Dalai Lama and push for greater
action from his administration.
