Hello everyone,

Today, SFT joined 38 other Tibetan organizations and Tibet support groups
across the United States and sent a letter to President Barack Obama asking
that Tibet be a substantive part of the agenda during his meeting with
Chinese President Hu Jintao on January 19th. Read the full text of the

The letter preempts the three day protests from January 18th - 20th in
Washington, DC to coincide with Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit.

We hope that you can join us to protest Hu Jintao's failed policies in Tibet
if you live in and around the DC area. If you are in New York don't forget
to reserve a seat on the

This is a protest you don't want to miss! Below is a schedule of events
planned in Washington, DC.

Hu Jintao will also be visiting Chicago on January 20th. We'll be confirming
protest details tomorrow. Please stay tuned! For everyone who won't be able
to join us in DC and Chicago we'll be circulating ways that you can take
actions in support of this historic protest.
