He didn't have to do anything special because his printer had built in
Ethernet. That makes all the difference in the world.

Your printer (as you know, but RA didn't because he came late) was
Localtalk only... so it took a little more to get it to work. Still
doable as you found, you just needed a nudge in the right direction :-)
