1) Release And License Information

We are happy to announce that we have reached the
first milestone for SharpDevelop2 – the Beta 1
release is here! (.NET Framework 2.0 required) As
this is a Beta release, not all features are
operational. To learn what's missing or known to
be broken, please visit Matt's blog:

<http://community.sharpdevelop.net/blogs/mattward/archive/2005/11/09/MissingFeaturesInSharpDevelop2.aspx>

If you want to see features in action, then check
out our feature videos section:

<http://wiki.sharpdevelop.net/default.aspx/SharpDevelop.FeatureVideos>

Finally, another very important change has
happened for SharpDevelop2 – its license has been
changed from GPL to LGPL. To learn what this
might mean for you as a software developer,
please see our team blog entry detailing the license change:

2) Announcement Mailing List Changes

The announcement mailing list will be retired.
Its place will be taken by the announcement forum:

<http://community.sharpdevelop.net/forums/3/ShowForum.aspx>

In January 2006, this forum will allow
subscription via email, so you get the same
behavior as today with the mailing list. However,
please do subscribe to the forums today. Today's
announcement most likely is the last to be sent
out via the existing infrastructure.

3) Downloads

4) Support

Our primary means of support is via our Web-based
forum (please do not email team members directly
unless they advise you to do so in the forum):

<http://community.sharpdevelop.net/forums/>

There is also a dedicated forum for SharpDevelop2:
