i dont good in english, but...
retalin is maked to kastrate boys...

The Adventures of Stevie #212

These stories were told to me by friends and other people. Some of them
are true. Some of them are only partly true. Some of them should have
been true. LOL

My first post about Stevie ("Call me Stephen!") was when he was 12 and
in summer camp and was told by another camper. This was from a time
before computers would fit on a desk and when people communicated with
friends in other countries by actual letters sent through the postal
service. When children did this those friends were called "penpals".
Carlos is Stevie's penpal in Argentina and knows English. This is a
fictional contrivance to enable Stevie to tell us his stories because
he isn't here in person. I think.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Stevie's school is for gifted children who don't fit in regular schools.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stevie is 14 in this story, in the Winter of year 5 of special school,
just before Spring.


The Adventures of Stevie #212 "New Finds"


Dear Carlos,


  We were still working at the ruin site in British Honduras. Most of
the ruin complex was uncovered, and we were exploring the insides as
much as we could. Nigel was working out very well. The few issues we
had were resolved without difficulties. He was disappointed the heat
guns wouldn't work for him, but that was the most serious thing. It was
funny watching him react to the jaguar prowling around the camp, even
after I made them friends. Father surprised us by bringing some papers
with him one day, showing us the deed to the land, belonging to the
school. He had bought it for us. He said "The government is very
corrupt here. It cost more in required bribes than the actual cost of
the land." I looked at Nigel to see if he was insulted by that, and he
said, "Don't mind me. I didn't even know we had a government." We
laughed. We photographed everything. Nigel helped with that where he
could, because he has a good eye. Rod was relieved to have an
assistant. Nigel was still in awe when we flew or used the 4th to
manipulate objects. One time I used my synchronized light beams from my
palms to cut up a tree trunk, while Pete was using his gun to cut up a
different one, and Nigel reacted like he was afraid of me. I heard
Tomba explain to him that it was the same, whether I used my own body,
or a gun. It was results which counted, and pointed to Chad, who was
breaking off branches with chops from his bare hands, and told Nigel we
could all do it the way Chad was doing, too.

  Whenever anybody found a psychically active stone, they called me to
look at it, before anybody else touched it. They were all harmless,
until the ones we found in the grave under the temple. His jade rod
knocked me out, like the other one did. Pete was there with a crystal
when I woke up, and I used it. The professor and Nigel wanted to see
what was in the crystal, after Pete did, but he said, "No. You saw what
it did to Stephen. Touching that rod would have killed both of you. I
don't know if I could have survived it, myself. Even though he toned it
down when he put it in the crystal, your minds are still not strong
enough to resist being damaged by it. 25,000 years of horrible history
all at once, can do that. After I study it for a while, I'll put useful
parts of it into separate crystals, and you can look at them, then."

  The buried person wore something like a crown. I took it off the
skull with insulated gloves, and cleaned it. I was going to put it on
my own head, when Chad yelled, "No! Wait! Don't do that!" I put it down
and went to him and hugged him while he cried. When he quieted down, I
asked him what he saw. He said "I saw somebody else's face on you!" I
said "Could it have been one of my past incarnations?" He said "I don't
think so. There was nothing about the past. It was a future thing, but
I don't know how far away. It could have been just seconds, and there
was death in it." I said "Then we will put this away for now. Is there
enough to put in a crystal, so somebody can draw a picture?" He nodded.
Pete gave him one, and he put it to his forehead. He gave it to me, and
I looked into it. I said "Pete, you have to see this." I gave it to
him. He said "Wow!" I said "Chad, have you really looked at all the
information in your vision?" He said "No, and I don't want to." I
nodded. I said to the others, "This was the most powerful king here. He
drew the attention of those bothersome aliens by his use of the rods.
They investigated by throwing his mind away and putting one of their
own in his body. It was recognized immediately, and the king was killed
and buried with his treasure. I figured this out by what Chad saw in
his vision, which is always true, even though we often don't understand
what they mean at the time, and from what I learned from the king's
rod. That was at about 2300 BC, which is older than any other known
date for human civilization in this area."

  I said "Now we need to decide what we are going to do about this
site. What I would like to do, is pull all crystalline objects, and
what they are attached to, to the surface, and examine them. I want to
know exactly what the aliens were interested in, which caused them to
sacrifice one of their own to investigate. I want to prevent it from
happening again." The professor said "Wait! What about all the
knowledge that could be lost? Can't you just lift the covering debris
and stone from the gems to uncover them in place, so how they lay can
be documented, as a compromise?" I nodded and said, "That would still
destroy some things of scientific interest, but I see your point. It's
reasonable. Other points?" There weren't any. Pete said, "While I may
be the leader of this field team, we are here because this it YOUR
investigation, and you wanted company, which we all appreciate very
much. It's your decision." I said "Professor, I think we can do more.
This site was covered over before Columbus was born. There could be
inscriptions here. I propose we finely scan small section by small
section, for those, and any jade or metal, along with our primary goal.
When when we expose those sections, we will know how to preserve their
locations for documentation. How is that?" The professor said, "Much
better than I expected. I agree." That's what we did, and we did find
inscriptions. More than I thought we would, but we had no idea what
they meant. That would be Pete's job, at the school. We boxed up all
the finds we wanted to take back to the school. Then we put everything
at the site back the way it was, as much as we could. We put a sign in
a prominent place, stating who owned the property, and to keep away
from it.

  We ported the things to the school in relays, and then we all ported
to a meeting room there. I said "I'm not done with this. I'm going to
use some different techniques to locate more of these things which may
exist around the world. They may be a key to helping us against the
aliens, or a key to our destruction if anybody else finds them.
Professor, if you would be interested, I would like to share some of
the information I might acquire, with you." He said "Absolutely.
Please. Any time. With secrecy, too." I said with a smile, "Good. For
now, we have boring lab work to do, so I should send you home. Call me
if you need anything. Ready?" He nodded, and I ported him home.

  I said "Now we have to see to Nigel. Tomba, what do you think?" He
said "Temple for a month or 2, to start." I said "Does he know?" He
said "Yes, and agrees, if you agree, too. I told him you would, but I
might have told him a little too much about you, which might have
caused him to respect your opinion a little more than might be
necessary." I said "Have you thought of going into politics?" Even
Nigel laughed at that one, with the rest of us. I said to Nigel, "I
agree, but don't feel you have to stay longer than Tomba feels it takes
you to be ready to make decisions for the rest of your life, but you
can always go back. After they get to know you like we do, you will
always be welcome. About another part of your future, my father hasn't
been able to find any documents for you, like a birth certificate, in
British Honduras. In America, you need those kinds of things which
prove who you are, and are a citizen, for some things, and it will
probably be more important in the future. We can fake documents enough
to pass for real, but they might not be perfect, or we can give you a
new, but real, identity, from somebody who died at birth. We have them
available for situations like this. You wouldn't be able to keep your
real name, though. You don't have to decide now, so you can wait until
you know what you what to do with your life. Before you go to the
Temple, I have to ask if you would like to visit me at home once in a
while, like Tomba does, and also when I visit the Temple. They will let
you, because, well, they er, sort of like me a little." Everybody but
me laughed. Embarrassing.

  Nigel said "Tomba is like a member of your actual family, isn't he?"
I said "Yes. He doesn't have one of his own, and everybody should have
one, and a home, so he shares mine. I love him, so that just put a name
to what was already real to me. So, yes, you being like Tomba in this
to me and our family, does mean that. I don't have to ask them. We all
have big hearts, full of love. If you decide not to live at the Temple,
you do have a home to come to. If that's what you want." He said
"That's the best offer I've had all day." It sounds like he was being
flippant, but it's hard to do that when you're crying so hard you can
hardly talk. We hugged and kissed, and then Tomba ported with him to
the Temple. That made a big hole in my life, then. The others knew, and
hugged me. Then we all ported to our own homes. Dan and the girls
weren't home yet, but Glena was baking something. I went and hugged
her, and told her how much I loved her. People don't do that as often
as they would like to, because they forget it should be done. What you
take for granted is too easy to lose. Sometimes it takes knowing about
the bad things which happen to other people, to remind you how
fortunate you are, to have what you have, and to be able to share love
as much as you do. I think that makes me the most fortunate boy in the
whole world.
